Sunday afternoon we finally made it home from the bright lights. After a much-anticipated wait by all of us, Chads surgery went well and he is on the road to recovery. We were greeted in the driveway by many smiling fur faces. I personally have never been more thankful to do chores in my life.
CHORES = HOME & HOME = HAPPY
We spent Sunday afternoon relaxing, we even managed to fit in a property tour for my Mama.
The look on her face was pretty funny when Chad and I both were sporting rifles.
You never know what may be lurking in the woods…
We found an old rusty car in the bush and I just had to climb inside to fetch the antique bottles that were held captive amongst the rust. It was not as easy as I thought it would be.
Monday was my last day off and it was also the day I had to say goodbye to my Mama, who made the long trip back to Manitoba.
Even as a recovering patient Chad is still thinking of his Wifey every moment, which came apparent when I had to stop on the road so he could pick some tiger lilies.
They are now happily in the kitchen with the summertime candles and new ranch art.
My home is a happy place, especially because of those who occupy it.
Thank you for all the well wishes and love this last week.
